Welcome Everyone! My name is Sarah. I’m a busy mom of 3 wonderful children and spend a lot of time managing our household. I do school runs, homemaking, and tons of cooking. I am married to the love of my life whom I’ve known since high school. He works long hours so I can stay at home and raise our children.

Family

We love to travel upstate in the summers enjoying the water and taking a break from the everyday. Having two kids in elementary school, plus a preschooler – makes life a little crazy. It seems like we are always on the go. I am always looking to streamline schedules, chores, and everyday life. Making the most of our time together as a family is a priority.

Food

Cooking meals from as close to scratch as possible is a goal that I strive to do for my family. We try to eat things that have nutritional value and avoid foods that have toxic chemicals. My kids eat a lot of snacks, so I keep a pantry stocked with healthy choices.

Baking is a passion of mine from breads to muffins to desserts of all kinds. Making from scratch food doesn’t need to be time-consuming if you have the right recipes and tools at your disposal. Nothing tastes better than homemade bread.

Cardamom

One of my favorite spices to cook/bake with is cardamom. I use it in a lot of my recipes and hope to inspire you to try it! It is delicious in bread, cakes, muffins, Indian dishes, coffee, and many other foods. The earthy, sweet, minty smell reminds me of baking bread with my grandmother.

Mascarpone

I also love mascarpone cheese – this smooth and creamy Italian cheese adds depth and richness to sauces and even buttercream frosting. It makes the creamy filling in lasagna and pasta bakes rich and delectable.
